Bendangkokba holds declaration programme in Mopungchuket

Bendangkokba has declared to contest in the upcoming general election under the India National Congress (INC) from 23 Impur Assembly Constituency during a programme held in Mopungchuket village on Wednesday.

Speaking at the declaration programme, Bendangkokba underscored that development of every village will be his topmost priority. If voted to power, he has vowed to come up with a roadmap in order to bring about changes and development needed in the society.

“We need a roadmap built from the grassroot to bring practical development to the constituency,” he said. He has further sought the mandate of the people to enable him fulfill their aspirations.

Watimongba, president of Mokokchung District Congress Committee (DCC), stated that a new chapter would begin in 23 Impur AC. As the Congress party in Nagaland has filed 27 candidates, he expressed hope that 20 candidates would emerge victorious and joined in the formation for a coalition government.

With only few days left for the campaign, he challenged the Congress workers to sacrifice their time and resources in order to bring the Congress party back in power.

Short speeches were also delivered by the INC president of 23 Impur AC, chairman of Mopungchuket Village Council and others.
