Dimapur, May 18 (EMN): Bosco College of Teacher Education (BCTE), Dimapur, held its parting social for the Class of 2017 – 2019’ at the college’s auditorium on May 17. In all, 97 teacher trainees of the 13th batch would pass out soon from BCTE.
The programme commenced with a prayer led by Kambor Singh and the word of God was read by Saulus.
Speaking on the occasion, Fr. TC Joseph, college’s principal, reminded the outgoing teacher-trainees that they are going to be teachers in the digital age. He urged on the need to be alert and creative in order to help students to be intelligent users of the media. He also urged the teacher-trainees to constantly update themselves by quoting TS Eliot who once said, “The moment you stop learning, you will have to stop teaching.”
Speaking on behalf of the 4th semester students, Neiki Rheno acknowledged that the outgoing students had learnt many things from BCTE: to be artists, craftsmen, refined teachers, from being introverts to extroverts, etc. She expressed profound sense of gratitude to Fr. TC Joseph, Fr. Nicholas Guangdiat, Fr. MD Varghese and to all the teaching and non-teaching staff.
