BBBP hampers for DHD presented at Dimapur DPDB meeting
DIMAPUR – During the monthly Dimapur district DPDB meeting, gift hampers meant for the District Hospital Dimapur were handed over to the CMO Dimapur and the MS of the hospital on Thursday at the DC conference hall, Dimapur. This was a part of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) scheme, celebrating the birth of girls.
According to a DIPR report, with Dimapur district being incorporated under the BBBP scheme, a number of initiatives under the chairmanship of DC Dimapur Sachin Jaiswal have been carried out since June this year.
On the occasion, the officer in charge, EAC Kuizan, informed about upcoming programmes under the scheme, including health check-ups to be conducted on August 4 and 18 at Khushiabill and United North Block, respectively, as well as sensitisation programmes at different villages on August 11 and 25.
She also informed that a plantation drive was carried out in the month of June during World Environment Day and added that more activities would be carried out in the days to come.
The gift hampers were handed over by advisor for labour, employment and skill development, and excise, Moatoshi Longkumer, and advisor for the department of tribal affairs, and election, Tovihoto Ayemi.
