Dimapur, Jan. 7 (EMN): Three months after it launched, Battlefield 2042 players' have lost faith in the game so much so that the community has started a online petition demanding EA to refund customers across all platforms.

Battlefield 2042 has been a bit of a disaster. Dice's latest offering from its 'Battlefield' franchise was marred by bugs, exploits, poor game mechanics and design flaws on launch day. Even after three months, the developers have yet to fix most of the problems plaguing the game and needless to say, the community is visibly upset at the poor state of the game.

Battlefield 2042 players' frustration have reached to a point that they have started asking EA for their money back. To help them do that, players have launched an online petition on Change.org demanding EA for a refund across all platforms. The petition had more than 6,900 signatures at the time of writing this article.

"EA’s release of Battlefield 2042 was a mockery of every customer who purchased this video game for $70 (USD) due to EA’s false advertising of this video game. Battlefield 2042 has costed consumers millions of dollars in damages and upset hundreds of thousands of customers worldwide," read the petition.

"Many promises made at launch were not kept, and Battlefield 2042 launched as unplayable according to many consumer reports. Even today, Battlefield 2042 has bugs which drastically changes the in-game experience so much that it’s deemed as a clearly unfinished release."

The petition also states that if it reaches 50,000 signatures, they would launch a class-action lawsuit against EA.

Although online petitions like this do not really produce tangible results, however, it does raise awareness and puts much pressure on EA and Dice.
