Dimapur, Nov. 23 (EMN): Despite the bells and whistles amid the launch of Battlefield 2042, Electronic Arts' latest addition to the Battlefield franshise, the game has received a lot of negative reviews on Steam.

Thousands of players have review bombed the game on its Steam page, making it one of the platform's worst-reviewed games of all time joining the likes of Cyberpunk 2077 and No Man's Sky, although No Man's Sky has managed to turn it around in recent years.

The game experienced one of the roughest launches of any game with players complaining about poor PC performance, inconsistent hitboxes, bullet hit registration, broken vehicles, lack of features, and more.

In response to the public outcry, Battlefield 2042 developer DICE released a patch on launch day to fix the issues, however, the game remained unplayable for many players.

Users took to Twitter to vent their frustrations with many calling out developers for disregarding improvements to gameplay and instead focussing on other features like environment.

Players have compiled a list of features that are missing or broken in Battlefield 2042 and I must say, the list is a lengthy one. Notable features missing from the game include no single-player story/campaign mode, no standard server browser, no class system, no leader boards, no spectator mode etc.

It is suffice to say that Battlefield 2042 was touted to be one of this year's biggest AAA titles, however, the game has become one of EA's biggest disappointments.
