Dimapur, Nov. 5 (EMN): To acknowledge the achievement of its students for their outstanding performance in the recently declared Nagaland University under-graduate examinations 2020, Baptist College, Kohima, organised a felicitation programme for the seven toppers from the college on November 4 at Rivenburg’s Chapel Hall.
Guest of honour and ABCC executive director, Rev. Dr. Atsi Dolie said a thanksgiving prayer for the success of the students and also gave away gift token and certificate to the toppers.
The college principal, Dr. Kekuchol Pusa, congratulated the students as well as the teachers for their hard work and dedication. “The journey starts from here,” declared Pusa and asked the students not to remain complacent with their present achievement but to continue with the same momentum to become someone in the society.
An update from the college stated that a two-minute time was given to each toppers and the lecturers for voluntary speech. It added that all the toppers took turn to thank and appreciate the college and especially credited the teachers for their success.
Dr. Pandey, HOD Commerce; Dr. Tsenbeni, assistant professor of English; Dr. Sentinaro, HOD English; and K.Dominic Thaprü, HOD Sociology; have congratulated the toppers and students in general and encouraged them to do better in life.
A song was presented by Sangbolong Jamir, BA 3rd semester student of Sociology. Asilie Rurhia, assistant professor of History, said the closing prayer.
Truvi Rhi secured Top 1st position in B.Com (CGPA 6.85); Vizohunuo Kengurüsie secured Top 6th position in B.Com (CGPA 6.51); O Ngamching secured Top 7th position in B.Com (CGPA 6.50); and Ritsula secured Top 9th position in B.Com (CGPA 6.48); while Dziesephreü secured Top 4th position in Sociology (CGPA 6.74); Elanthung Tsanglao secured Top 8th position in Sociology (CGPA 6.56); and Keneingunuo Mepfu-o secured Top 9th position in Sociology (CGPA 6.54).
