Mokokchung, March 15 (EMN):
Banking services across Nagaland came to a halt on Monday as the United Forum of Bank Union (UFBU) Nagaland called for a two-day strike, starting from March 15 to protest the proposed privatisation of two state-owned lenders.

Constituents of UFBU at Mokokchung gathered near SBI regional business office in Mokokchung to protest against the government’s move of privatisation and  banking sector reforms.

Imtisanen Ao,  CCM, SBIOA, NEC highlighted that this move of the govt. was going to affect not only the employees but also the public at large, especially the farmers, small entrepreneurs, small businesses, women entrepreneurs and other weaker sections.
