Bangladesh army delegation visit Eastern Command

Dimapur, June 29 (EMN): Bangladesh army led by Major General S M Maitur Rahman, general officer commanding of Infantry Division and area commander along with three other officials visited Eastern Command from June 24 to 28th.
The visit to promote bonhomie, cooperation and better understanding between both the armies of the neighbouring countries aimed, an update fro said PRO (Defence) on Saturday said.

During the visit, the officials interacted with Lieutenant General R P Kalita and staff of the Eastern Command Headquarter.

The delegation also visited Panagarh Military Station and various other places including Jorasanko, the residence of Rabindranath Tagore and Fort William in Kolkata.

The visit will go a long way in enhancing the co-operation and inter-operability between the two armies.
