Banana fibre craft training programme inaugurated in Ahthibung

DIMAPUR — A skill development training programme on banana fibre craft was inaugurated at DB Court Ahthibung, Peren, on Wednesday in the presence of Nchumthung Ezung, SDO Ahthibung.

According to an update, during his speech, he emphasised the importance of skilling youths, drew attention to rising unemployment rates, and encouraged young people to seek more creative avenues for employment, as government jobs have reached saturation point.

He encouraged people to come up with ideas and suggestions for development, and he promised support and cooperation.

The event’s resource person, Nengneithem Hengna, director of Runway India, emphasised the importance of training and skill development and encouraged the girls to be confident and contribute to the growth of the state.

The training will be held at the Runway TBCo, Ahthibung unit.
