BAN to organise NIIE trade fair 2022 in Dimapur

Dimapur, Oct. 31(EMN): With the motive to promote local products and connecting produces to the market, ‘National innovate, integrate, and expand (NIIE) Trade Fair 2022’ will be held from November 3 to the 5th at Agri Expo Centre, Dimapur.

Governor of Nagaland Prof. Jagdish Mukhi has consented to grace the inaugural function on November 3 at 2 pm.

The fair is organised by Business Association of Nagas (BAN), supported by Ministry of MSME, government of India, in collaboration with government of Nagaland.

Addressing a press conference on Monday, BAN officials said during the event, more than 130 exhibitors will be exhibiting their products.

They also said that their main focus is also to promote the women entrepreneurs and so about 30% of the exhibitors and participants will be women entrepreneurs.

They also informed that they have multiple components in the event including business summit, food stalls and entertainment.

Further, they shared that together with MSME they have been visiting various districts and noticed that there are very hardworking entrepreneurs from Nagaland who are unseen and unrecognized.

Therefore, the trade fair will also showcase the products of what the young entrepreneurs have been doing.

The trade fair will also have participants from the banking and financial services, food stalls and auto mobile companies displaying their cars and products.

During the entertainment session, an open stage will be provided for upcoming artists who want to expose their talent. The organisers have invited musicians, artists, dancers, fashion show designers, and models to avail the stage.

There will also be street busking called ‘busking with a cause’ where some top artists have confirmed their participation and offered to donate 50% of their earnings to the underprivileged musicians. The Joint director of MSME, Tali Longchar, said that the trade fair comes under government programming marketing support schemes and that there are 358 items and products reserved for micro and small enterprises.

Sixteen participants from other NE states including Assam Sikkim and Meghalaya are also participating in the fair, he updated.
