DIMAPUR— Business Association of Nagas (BAN) has decided to expand business network across the globe by forging valuable connections and partnerships to foster international collaboration and unlock new opportunities, while it would also strive to eradicate monopolistic practices in business and promote healthy competition and also create a level playing field for all entrepreneurs.

This was disclosed by BAN president, L Mongkum Jamir, during its annual general meeting held at Hotel Saramati in Dimapur on June 15. He informed that over the past years, BAN could accomplished several milestones and successfully organised industry events, facilitated meaningful networking opportunities and advocated policies that promote growth and sustainability. He added that those achievements were a testament to the collective efforts and unwavering dedication of the members, an update from BAN stated.

Jamir stated that the association would tirelessly strive to enhance the state’s economy. He added that BAN would work diligently to support and empower entrepreneurs, foster an environment that nurtures innovation and success. He also stated that the association would collaborate closely with the government to ensure that schemes, programmes and contracts are rightfully awarded to deserving entrepreneurs to ensure fair and inclusive business environment.

Jamir stated that the AGM serves as a platform to reflect on accomplishments and also serves as an opportunity to identify areas for improvement and define future priorities. He, therefore, encouraged the member to actively participate in the discussions, share valuable insights and contribute to shaping BAN’s strategic roadmap.

BAN advisor, Nibu Nagi, spoke about his journey as a businessman and encouraged entrepreneurs to persevere in their business and work hard.

The BAN general secretary, Dr. Yan Murry, in his report highlighted various accomplishments and activities of the association.

Report stated that presentation of previous year’s financial statements and budget were tabled. The members have also discussed on various agenda.

Later, BAN thrift and credit cooperative society Ltd. was held with the participation of shareholders. The meeting was conducted by its CEO, Sashi Pongener.
