BAN not to attend meeting summoned by Khango-led NSCN (K)
Dimapur, Aug. 30 (EMN): The Business Association of Nagas (BAN) has decided not to attend the consultation/clarification meeting summoned by Khango-led NSCN (K) as it finds it ‘irrelevant’ since the group has already refuted the allegations.
The association concluded that ‘it is pointless to attend the meeting’ as it is not the appropriate authority to decide on the rebuttal.
This decision was taken during its emergency meeting on August 29, to deliberate on a letter served to the association by the chairman of the Khango-led NSCN (K).
BAN said kidnapping one of its members has caused concern to all the Naga entrepreneurs as business activities have been hampered due to the pandemic and ‘just limping back to survive.’ It also expressed dismay for disturbing the business activity of its advisor, who is also a senior member in particular and a Naga in general and condemned the same.
The association further hopes that the investigating agency would complete the task without any interference.
