Ban drugs seized in Zunheboto

[caption id="attachment_197622" align="aligncenter" width="500"] Deputy commissioner of Zunheboto along with the ADC, SDOs, police, medical staff and the defaulters with the seized items.[/caption] Dimapur, July 27 (EMN): Zunheboto district administration along with the police and medical departments conducted a joint inspection of pharmacy stores on July 26 and apprehended some persons engaging in the sale of restricted drugs like Codeine Phosphole containing cough syrup and tramadole capsule. According to Shekho Sophie, district media officer, cases have been registered under NDPS Act 1985 against the defaulters while some pharmacies have also been sealed. Deputy Commissioner Zunheboto, Shanavas, has termed drug abuse as a bane afflicting the young people of Nagaland. Stating that drug abuse cost heavily on the society, he said besides severe health impact, it impedes the productivity of the youth. He challenged all to join hands against the menace. The seized items along with the accused have been forwarded to the court for further necessary action.
