WITH the Business Association of Nagaland (BAN) decorating the Plaza Point (Holy Cross junction), the commercial hub Dimapur now wears a new look.
The BAN took the initiative following a request from Dimapur district administration to beautify the commercial city for this festive season.Talking to media persons at Plaza Point junction this evening, president of BAN Thungbemo Murry said the move was initiated to keep the city/town bright and clean.
“This comes with a message to keep the town bright and beautiful during this festive season,” Murry said.
BAN general secretary Dr Khekugha Muru said the association will render its best to cooperate with the government in every possible way. To this, he requested all business establishments in and around Dimapur to clean up and beautify their premises for the festive season. He further requested the public and passersby to take proper care of the decoration at Plaza Point junction.
BAN has also asked all business establishments to participate in the mass social work organized by the district administration on December 14. The social work will begin from 6am to 9am.
Meanwhile, it has also appealed the Naga political groups not to create any unwanted events that might disturb the peaceful atmosphere of the festive season. It further requested the factions to refrain from collecting any donations.
The president and general secretary of BAN, on behalf of the association, have also conveyed Christmas greetings to everyone.
