Dimapur, March 15 (EMN): Bailey Baptist College, in Wokha town, conducted internal assessment for students through extempore, public speaking sessions.

Students actively participated in the event. The teaching faculty led by Vice Principle Penthungo Ngullie, encouraged the students about the importance of public speaking skills. He spoke about how to convince or make impressions by mere speech.

Various topics about democracy, culture, importance of the media, social networking, wild life conservation, tribalism, women empowerment and domestic violence, among others, were assigned to each of the students who were to speak during the event.

Assistant professor of sociology, Yanbo Ezung, spoke about how their way or style of speaking would reflect their potential.

The teaching faculty was of the opinion that the curriculum had activities that would provide a platform to students to make them ‘capable in any situation.’
