DIMAPUR, APRIL 25
Former minister Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu said today that he is ready to withdraw the case provided the two contractors in question meet him.
Azo said he was constrained to issue this press statement to clear any misunderstandings in the mind of the Naga people regarding the issue brought out by the Nagaland Foothill Road Construction Committee (NFHRCC) time and again.
“Yes, true to NFHRCC statement, I have agreed to forgive and forget as the matter has been discussed with the committee members during our meetings. It is also my sincere prayer that the issue is ironed out and the road project becomes a reality as it is also the wish of the people.” However, the only hiccup in the case is i had informed the committee members during our meetings to convey my request to the two contractors to meet me in person if the case is to be withdrawn, which is yet to be fulfilled, Azo added. “As for me, I still stand by my words and i am willing to withdraw the case once the two contractors meet me in person at any given time and place,” the former minister stated.
