DIMAPUR — The Ayushman Bhava campaign was launched in Kiphire district on Wednesday at the conference hall of District Hospital, Kiphire, with DC John Tsulise Sangtam inaugurating the campaign.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC emphasised the importance of the schemes reaching every deserving individual and leaving no one behind.
He called on all departments and organisations to support the medical team in successfully carrying out the campaign. He commended the medical team for their various initiatives in the district and assured them of the readiness of the district administration to provide assistance whenever needed.
In his keynote address, Dr. R Chubala Aier, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Kiphire, talked about the significance of the Ayushman Bhava campaign and stated that it aims to raise awareness about various schemes among stakeholders.
She mentioned that the campaign has three major components: Ayushman card creation under Ayushman Apke Dwar 3.0, a health campaign called Ayushman Mela, and awareness meetings called Ayushman Sabha.
Aier urged every line department to support and collaborate with the medical team to ensure the success of the campaign, as several activities are planned as part of it. She stressed further the importance of ensuring that all eligible people benefit from the scheme.
A short speech was also given by Thepongba, a TB survivor, which was followed by the awarding of Nikshay Mitra under the Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (PMTBMBA). The award was given to CMO Kiphire for her outstanding contributions to PMTBMBA.
The programme was chaired by Dr. N Moa Jamir, senior dental surgeon at District Hospital Kiphire.
Peren: The District Health Society, Peren, launched the Ayushman Bhava campaign on September 13 at the District Hospital, Peren, with Keyirangding Hegui, ADC Peren, as the special guest.
Hegui, in his speech, encouraged the health workers to put in extra effort to provide health cards to all eligible people. Stating that health is wealth, no matter how much money one has, he said that if one’s health is not good, the wealth means nothing.
He maintained that the main objective of this campaign is to place significant importance on healthcare and raise awareness about various healthcare schemes. He also encouraged the distribution of Ayushman cards to all eligible beneficiaries under the PM-JAY scheme, ensuring that no eligible beneficiary is left out.
In his keynote address, Dr. Hedungkiebe, district vector-borne officer (DVBO), stated that the Ayushman Bhava campaign, which will begin on September 17, will be observed across various health units to create awareness among the general public, particularly at the grassroots level, about various health services and schemes that will benefit the public in general.
During the launching programme, the participants also took an organ donation pledge.
