Ayusangla Jamir crowned Miss Mokokchung

Mokokchung, November 6: Seventeen year old Ayusangla Jamir was crowned as Miss Mokokchung 2015 `in a glittering beauty pageant at Town Hall here this evening which was attended by Parliamentary Secretary C Apok Jamir as the chief guest and a host of dignitaries like Padmashree Chubalemla, Banuo Z Jamir (first lady IAS, chief secretary to the government of Nagaland & patron of MAAM) and others. The first runner-up was bagged by Jungtimenla Jamir and the 2nd runner-up was Yangerjungla Pongen.
The chief guest Parliamentary Secretary C Apok Jamir, while speaking at the programme, encouraged the youths to cultivate confidence in oneself and let this positive confidence be developed in others in the society.
The night was as inspiring as it could be as former Miss Nagaland and Padmashree Chubalemla inspired the contestants with her encouraging voice that they are beautiful no matter what. She also encouraged the contestants to understand that they are beautiful, and since it is a beauty contest, she urged the winner that they have a great responsibility in life, and how to keep the title of a beauty queen.The winners were awarded with cash prizes and gift hampers. The judges for the night were choreographer Adang Jamir as chief judge, who was assisted by Reggie Shira, Asola Imkong and Dr Temsumenla Longkumer as the assistant judges.
