AYO to hold public rally against ‘illegal taxation, death threats’

KOHIMA — The Angami Youth Organisation (AYO) is set to initiate a public rally against “unabated illegal taxations, harassment, intimidation, and death threats to common people” on August 6 at 11 am.

The rally will take place at Old MLA Hostel Junction, Phoolbari, in Kohima.

AYO has called for mass participation and support of all concerned citizens and various organisations in the state capital.

It also requested participants in the public rally to wear the traditional attire of their respective communities.

The rally follows AYO’s recent declaration of non-cooperation with the NSCN-K (Khango) group, after a “death penalty/capital punishment” was issued against one of its members and a contractor, the proprietor of M/s KKB Rülho.
