AutoX and Up Hill Climb kicks off in Mokokchung

MOKOKCHUNG — The 7th edition of Mokokchung Auto X and Up Hill Climb kicked off today at Sungratsu Sports Complex, Mokokchung, on Tuesday. The event, organised by the Adventure and Motorsport Association Mokokchung (AMAM), witnessed 44 participants from seven teams from three NE states including Nagaland, Meghalaya and Assam.

Day one saw blending of the autocross race.

Special guest Toshimongla Kichu, project director of DRDA, challenged the participants to utilise sports to foster brotherhood and contribute to tourism in the region.

Moasashi Jamir, president of AMAM, said that it has been the effort for AMAM to provide a platform for all motorsport enthusiasts, no matter how small.

The seven participating teams are Nagaland Adventure Club; Street King Club, Dimapur; Team RD, Dimapur; Kohima Adventure Motorsport Club; Nagaland 4X4 KOHIMA; Spear Head Motorsports Club and Team Shillong.
