DIMAPUR — The second edition of the Autumn Cup (35+) football tournament, organised by the Chümoukedima District Football Referee Board on the theme ‘Health first’, is underway at Medziphema local ground.

On Tuesday, Auto Gallery Dimapur defeated Medziphema Village FC 7-0 in the third quarter-final. They will now face Friends of Society Jalukie in the first semi-final.

The fourth quarter-final featured a tough contest between Natak FC and Kuki Golngai FC. Despite Natak FC taking a two-goal lead in the first half, they were unable to maintain the advantage against a relentless KGFC attack.

The deficit was equalised in the 30th and 51st minutes, and the match proceeded to a tiebreaker, where Kuki Golngai FC emerged victorious with a 4-3 win.

On August 28, the first semi-final will feature Auto Gallery Dimapur against Friends of Society Jalukie at 1 pm. The second semi-final will see Medziphema Warriors take on Kuki Golngai FC at 3 pm.

The tournament had begun with 13 teams.
