August Football Gold Cup underway

DIPR Dimapur,August 21 The 23rd August Football Gold Cup 2013, organized by Seong Club Tobu, kick started on August 20 under the theme ‘Unity through Sports’ at Tobu local ground. The event was graced by MLA & Chairman, Honey Mission, Yollow as the chief guest.Yollow in his speech reminded the participants that earlier people played games to maintain physical fitness but in the present context, sports has become profession where people can earn their living. Acknowledging that Nagas have the potentials to perform better in sporting activities, the chief guest also encouraged the participants to play through sporting spirit and discipline while competing with one another. He also lauded the organiser Seong Club Tobu for the noble service. The programme started with invocation by Chaplain Police Baptist Fellowship Tobu (PDFT), N. Naiba Konyak, welcome address and short speech were delivered by Y.C. Lnagsao, Chairman, Seong Club and Vice President Konyak Union Tobu Branch, Nyaubu Konyak. A special number and band display was presented by Unity Neinlong Club Muknyukshu village and New Life Band Tobu village.
