ATMA Mon conducted training-cum-demonstration programme on December 5 at Zakho and Tela village under Tizit Block with Joakting (AO) as resource person giving the training on the cultivation of pea, cardamom, mushroom cultivation and also spoke on rodent management. Altogether 17 trainees attended the programme at Zakho village and at Tela village 15 trainees attended the programme and got benefited. At both the villages the programme was chaired by Vimenuo Mere BTM, Tizit Block. Rodent control packages were also distributed to each of the farmers who attended the programme.
The training-cum-demonstration was also conducted at Leangnyu and Mon town on December 4 with Joakting (AO) as resource person along with Vimeno Zao (BTM) & Kelhouriiya Mere (SMS). The resource person discussed on the topics: Mushroom cultivation, Cardamom, Pea & Rodent management. Wax Block Baits for rodents were distributed to the participating 37 farmers from Leangyu & Mon.
On December 3, ATMA Mon, Wakching Block also conducted a training at Tanhai Farm School. The programme was chaired by Vimeno Zao (BTM) and Mhonchumo (SMS) spoke on the topics: Mushroom cultivation, Mulching & Water Management. Later demonstrations were also done on the said topics. Yannyak (Farmers Friend) also shared on Tea & Cardamom cultivation. Mushroom spawn and pamphlets were distributed to the 28 progressive farmers participating in the training.
