Dimapur, Aug. 11 (EMN): A new health sub-centre in Asukiqa was inaugurated by Dr. CW Tungoe, Chief Medical Officer of Zunheboto, on August 9. The new sub-centre would cover Asukiqa, Ghokimi, Kitami, Tsaphimi and Puneboqa villages.
The inauguration programme was chaired by Vihose Assumi, Chairman of village health committee, while the invocation was pronounced by Rev. S Kiheto, pastor of Ghokimi Baptist Church.
In his inaugural speech, Dr. CW Tungoe, expressed hope that the new sub-centre would benefit the community particularly on health sector. He also urged the community to develop a working culture. Dr. Tungoe also encouraged the community to be in good health.
The welcome address was delivered by Khuwoto Swu, chairman of Asukiqa Area Joint Council (AAJC) and the vote of thanks was delivered by Johan, GB, Gokhimi.
Site for the new Asukiqa sub-centre was donated free of cost by Hetoi Swu, GB of Asukiqa village.
The CMO was accompanied by Dr. G Akaho Sema, Deputy CMO; Dr. Alemwabang Aier, DPO (RCH & UIP); Dr. G Viholi Sema, DTO-RNTCP; Dr. Phillip Kent, SMO, Pughoboto CHC; Dr. Alvis, Hekuto, SMI (NVBDCP); Dr. Zhekheli; Vitoli, DPM; Shekho Sophie, Media Officer; Nato, DAM, RNTCP, IEC bureau; and Vihuto, BPM, Pughoboto block.
