Dimapur, Sep. 30 (EMN): Echoing to the Poshan Abhiyaan initiative of the government, the National Service Scheme (NSS) of Asufü Christian Institute (ACI), Mao (Manipur) held a one-day programme on ‘importance of nutrition’ on Thursday.
An update informed that Kholi Charani, lecturer (dept. of Home Science) ACI stressed on the importance of optimal nutrition and highlighted the need to differentiate between good and bad nutrition to be a conscious consumer. She also said that one’s health is completely an individual responsibility and that proper health care with nutrition has to begin from home without visiting health care institutions.
PoshanMaah is celebrated in the month of Sep. every year under Poshan Abhiyaan (an overreaching scheme for Holistic Nourishment) launched in 2018. The NSS of ACI organised the programme as part of community mobilisation and people’s participation drive, it stated.
