DIMAPUR — The Angami Students’ Union (ASU) has appealed to the Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC) to be cautious while conducting examinations in order to avoid situations that might cause severe mental and physical trauma to the aspirants.

In a letter to the NPSC secretary, the union has referred to the recent examinations conducted by NPSC particularly the Combined Technical Services Examination (engineering services) 2023 Civil Engineering (diploma) Paper-1 and Paper-2, which was cancelled vide order dated June 14 due to multiple question discrepancies and re-examinations conducted for the same.

It also mentioned about the examinations held on May 31 and June 1 for the Electrical Engineering (degree and diploma) CTSE (engineering services) 2023, which was cancelled for re-examination due to several erroneous questions.

“The year-long preparation of the aspirants which are earnest in nature should never be humiliated by such contentious examinations which only invites for re-examination, thereby causing the aspirants with mental and physical trauma, which can never be compensated in any form,” an ASU letter stated.

While comprehending the grievances of the aspirants, ASU has appealed to the NPSC to be cautious in conducting the examinations and avoid such situations that endangers the fate of the aspirants.

The union further stated it would remain vigilant to safeguard the interest of its fraternity and not tolerate further similar cases at any cost or explanation.
