Kohima, June 23 (EMN): Angami Students’ Union (ASU) has announced to conduct its annual Inner Line Permit (ILP) verification process beginning from June 27 till July 29 at the ASU office, below AIR Station, BOC, Kohima.
In this connection, ASU has asked all non-locals inhabiting in Kohima district to verify and register their necessary documents including ILP, identity card- if under any service, valid trade license, voters ID and other relevant IDs.
ASU press release, which was issued here today, directed all concerned persons to produce original documents along with 2 passport size photos. The union stated that government servants and school teachers will be exempted from the verification process.
ASU also informed that it would be conducting an enumeration drive of all the business enterprises in Kohima town to collect statistical data.
Stating that the union is extremely alarmed by the demographic threats posed by overwhelming influx of illegal immigrants, ASU, while admitting that the verification process may cause inconveniences to many genuine citizens, urged upon all to cooperate so as to counter such threat collectively.
