Dimapur, June 9 (EMN): The Angami Students’ Union (ASU) has stated its “unequivocal rejection” of results declared for grade III posts of Nagaland Judicial Service through a notification issued by the Guwahati High Court on March 14.
According to a press release from the union on Sunday, the advertisement for the posts had “mentioned that the policy of reservation would be as per the Nagaland Judicial Service Rules, 2006 (as amended) read with government of Nagaland notification No. RCBT-5/87/ (Pt. II) dated 14th April 2011” with 25% reservation for both gazette and non-gazette posts for candidates from the six tribes in Mon, Tuensang, Kiphire and Longleng.
“Furthermore, 12% to be reserved for the tribes of Chakhesang, Pochury, Zeliang, Sumi of Kiphire district with a roster maintained for the said posts. Therefore, it is pertinent to register that all norms of official protocol and conventional processes are breached. It is evident that the selection process and the selected list is a total farce. As such, we are not in a position to accept the declared results,” it stated.
Therefore, the ASU stated that until a fair and transparent modality of recruitment is applied for recruitment against those posts, the results declared should be considered null and void.
