DIMAPUR: The Association of Power Engineers Nagaland (APEN) has strongly condemned the harassment meted out to one of its members at Mon Town on March 23.
The association stated in a press release that its member Thanyalo Kath, Sub-Divisional Officer (Electrical), Mon, was harassed by some miscreants “claiming to be from the NSCN(U) group”.
[bsa_pro_ad_space id=1]“Such unwarranted intimidation with death threats on a government officer delivering essential service to the public is totally uncalled for,” it stated.
‘While the members of APEN are giving their best and performing their duties round the clock to serve the people of the State, such inhuman and outrageous act on our member is unacceptable,’ it added.
The association went on to appeal to the law enforcing agencies to book the culprits and take appropriate action as per the law.
