The scheme provides durable, modern, and scientifically manufactured aids and assistive devices to PwDs in order to promote their physical, social, and psychological rehabilitation, as well as to reduce the effects of disabilities and improve their educational and economic potential.

In total, 126 PwDs from both districts were assessed for the provision of assistive devices such as wheelchairs, hearing aids, and smartphones at no cost at a later date.

In addition to the assessment, the PwDs also received disability certificates from the medical board, District Hospital Dimapur, as well as UDID (unique disability ID cards) from the chief medical officer, Dimapur, Dr. Imlitemsu Ozukum.
