Dimapur, Nov. 6 (EMN): The assessment camps for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) were held for four days from Oct. 31 under the CSR programme of Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO), Kanpur in collaboration with District Disability Rehabilitation Center (DDRC), Dimapur.
The camps were held one at Razükhrie Government High School, Kohima, and three camps at DDRC, Dimapur, Zion Hospital and Research Center, Padam Pukhuri and Chumukedima Town Committee Hall.
Altogether, 302 PwDs were assessed and registered. The distribution of the aids and appliances for those registered will be held during January 2018, a press release infromed.
The SMO i/c of DDRC, Dr. Imlitemsu Ozukum, MD (PMR), in a release acknowledged the support provided by various government agencies and NGOs in the successful completion of camps .
Deputy Commissioner Dimapur and Chairman, DMT of DDRC, Shri.Kesonyu Yhome and staff, DC Kohima Rajesh Soundararajan and ADC Kohima TL Kiusomong, DWO staff, Kohima, headmaster and staff of Razükhrie GHS, medical superintendent of District Hospital, Dimapur Dr. CW Tungoe, medical superintendent of Zion Hospital and Research Centre Dr. Maongwati Aier, EAC Chumukedima and Chumukedima Town Council, Prodigal’s Home CBR staff, the Nagaland State Disability Forum and the ALIMCO team led by Rajesh Kumar Das, PNO attended the camps.
