Nagaland Legislative Assembly session to resume on Feb. 15

Kohima, Feb. 15 (EMN):
The second-day of the seventh season of the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) will resume today at the Assembly Secretariat in Kohima.

According to the provisional programme issued by the department of Information and Public Relations, there will be laying of annual administrative reports, presentation of the Assembly committee reports, introduction of government bills, if any, debate and adoption of the motion of thanks to the governor’s address, discussion on matters of urgent public importance among other crucial issues.

The assembly commenced on February 12 with the address by Governor RN Ravi.

Motion of thanks on the governor’s address was moved by advisor Namri Nchang and seconded by advisor H Haiying.

Meanwhile, on the same day, the chief minister had made obituary references to the passing away of Pranab Mukherjee, former President of India and Ram Vilas Paswan, former Member of Parliament.

The speaker of the assembly also made obituary references to Ashwani Kumar, former Governor of Nagaland; CM Chang, former member of Nagaland Legislative Assembly; Tarun Gogoi, former Chief Minister of Assam; Lungbe Meru, former member of Nagaland Legislative Assembly
