Assam Rifles undertakes various activities in Nagaland
Dimapur, July 21 (EMN): The Kohima Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) felicitated three meritorious students in the recently declared CBSE Board Class 10 results.
Sushant Kumar, Hema Malini and Sweety Paul secured the first, second and third positions respectively in their class from Assam Rifles Public School, Kohima, informed an update from Lt Col L Vincent Patton.
Free medical camp
Kiphire Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) organised a free medical camp in Phokhpur village of Kiphire district on July 21.
According to an update, besides providing treatment for basic ailments and distribution of free medicines, the importance of adhering to all precautions to contain Covid-19, and personal hygiene was also imparted.
A total of 62 residents across all age groups benefitted from the camp, it said.
Clearing of road blockade
Tuensang Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (N) assisted civil administration in clearing off blockade along Chenloiso and Longkhao link road.
Heavy and incessant rainfall had caused landslide in numerous stretches between Chenloiso and Longkhao village road link of Mon district, an update stated.
“The road, being the only lifeline used by residents from two villages, required to be cleared urgently to enable move of essential supplies to the villages,” it added.
