Dimapur, July 13 (EMN): A U-19 Girls Football Tournament will be conducted by IGAR (N) under the aegis of HQ DGAR from July 17 to 21, at Diphu and Kohima respectively.
According to an update received here on Saturday, the opening ceremony and league matches will be held at KASA, Diphu from July 17 to 19, while the closing ceremony, semi-final and final matches will be held at the IG Stadium in Kohima.
The first of its kind football tournament will be represented by teams from all eight states of the Northeast. It is a milestone event being conducted with a dual aim to provide a platform to girl footballers to showcase their talent and also to pick potential players for the Assam Rifles team.
