Assam Rifles seize illegal liquor

Dimapur, March 28 (EMN): In a search operation at Foot Hill Road Junction, troops of 28 Assam Rifles confiscated illegal Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) being smuggled into Nagaland on March 26. The liquor was found hidden in Maruti Gypsy bearing registration No. NL-10 3787. Assam Rifles statement claimed that the liquor allegedly belonged to Mrs Nrano, 40 years and resident of Yankham village in Wokha district.A total of 728 bottles of liquor amounting Rs 1.20 lakhs were seized from her possession. It stated that Mrs Nrano, alleged owner of illegal liquor, was handed over to Bhandari Police Station alongwith the seized liquor. An FIR against the individual has been lodged in Bhandari Police Station, the statement added.
