Assam Rifles reaches out to villages

Dimapur, Sep. 13 (EMN): Assam Rifles of Khonsa and Jalukie battalion reached out to local populace by distributing ration and healthcare items on September 7 and the 6th respectively.

The troops provided ration to the Mother Theresa Charity Mission at Khonsa and distributing protective gear and hygiene kits including face masks, hand gloves and hand sanitisers, at Tening

A total of 200 face masks, 100 pairs of hand gloves and three litres of hand sanitiser were distributed, informed an update.

AR felicitates successful students

The Assam Rifles of Phek battalion felicitated five students from Phek district who got admitted to Sainik School Punglwa on September 10.

The troops under the flagship programme assisted the five students from economically weaker section in preparing for entrance examination to enrol in the Sainik School, Punglwa, an update informed.

The students were assisted in smooth processing of loan through SBI, Phek and obtaining financial support of INR 50,000 from the district administration by the battalion.
