Assam Rifles reaches out to schools

Dimapur, July 4 (EMN): Kohima battalion of the Assam Rifles dedicated a shed for Tabitha Enabling Society on July 3. Construction of the shed was undertaken to facilitate convenience to children studying in Tabitha Enabling Society, Kohima, especially during monsoon.

The amenity was handed over to Asanuo, president of Tabitha Enabling Society, Kohima, in the presence of students and staff.

The battalion has also been providing Mathematics coaching classes to children of Bright Morning Star Orphanage Home since May 15, which culminated on June 7.

Meanwhile, Mon battalion of the Assam Rifles donated two computers along with accessories each to Government Middle School in Tangnyu village and Government Higher Secondary School in Mon town on June 20 and 22 respectively.

The students have expressed gratitude to the Assam Rifles for providing them with the amenities and for furthering the cause of education in the remote areas of Mon.
