Assam Rifles promotes sports in Mokokchung

  Dimapur, March 14 (EMN): In an endeavour to promote the sports culture in the State, 44 Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) extended support to Christian Education Ministry of Kumlong Baptist Church, for smooth conduct of its Annual Sports Day on March 11.The event witnessed enthusiastic and active participation from the students with the age group from 5 – 15 years. Col. KS Kataria, Commandant 44 Assam Rifles, graced the opening ceremony of the sports day as the chief guest and took the opportunity to motivate the young ones to bring up their talent at national and international levels. The students were also motivated to join Armed Forces on the basis of their sports talent and avail better opportunities.
