Assam Rifles organise programmes for students

Drawing cum poster making competition: To commemorate the forthcoming Independence Day, The 22 Assam Rifle, Phek, organised drawing and poster making competition on theme “Indian Independence” at Government Higher Secondary School Phek and Government Middle School Zion Phek Government Schools on August 1.
The chief guest, Col. Mohit Thapa, encouraged the participants to be the best. Senior assistant teacher, Raja Durai appreciated the participants and the 22 Assam Rifle Phek for organising and providing painting materials and also principal of GHSS Phek, assistant teachers, Neihite Akami, Sheku Soho and Sheto for their assistance.
The same programme was organised by 36 Assam Rifles at St Francis School, Tening village, Peren on August 2, on the theme “Importance of independence day”.
7 Assam Rifles organised also conducted a similar programme at Agape School (Kiphire) on August 1, for students of class II to class IV, where assistant commandant, Subhrajyoti Laskar, addressed to the students and staff. A total of 40 students took part in the competition which concluded with prize distribution for the students. u
32 Assam Rifles, 9 Assam Rifles also organised a drawing cum poster making competition, at Government Middle School, Zeliangrong village, Dimapur on August 1, where 16 students participated in the competition and at Government High School, Chiechema, Kohima on August 1, undrer the theme of ‘Nationalism’ respectively. The event concluded with prize distribution and interaction with students and teachers.
41 Assam Rifles conducted the same programme at Government High School, Khonoma on August 3 with the aim to educate the students on ‘Say No to Air Pollution and Deforestation’. 50 children from various age groups participated in the event.
Talent hunt competition: The 5 Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters IGAR (North) organised talent hunt singing competition for school children of St. Anthony School, Zunheboto on August 2, to celebrate forthcoming Independence Day.
The motive of the event was to provide opportunity to the students to showcase their hidden talent. The event concluded with distribution of prizes.
Lecture cum extempore contest: 41 Assam Rifles under aegis of HQ IGAR (N) organised a lecture cum extempore competition in Cosmopolitan Higher Secondary School, Chumukedima, Dimapur on August 2.
The speaker highlighted the significance and importance of Independence for the citizens of the country and exhorted the teaching faculty of the school to further the spirit of nationalism amongst the youth.
