Assam Rifles motivates youth to join arm forces

Dimapur, Jan. 10 (EMN): Dimapur battalion of the Assam Rifles has provided study materials and coaching camp for students who want to write All India Sainik School Entrance Examination (AISSE) 2021.

A defence release on January 10 stated that a total of 10 students along with their parents, who have registered for AISSE at Sainik School Punglwa from Dimapur district, attended the programme.

The battalion also provided drinking water to the residence of Prince Fernandes, who has been running an NGO for blind people in Khatkhati, on January 7.

It stated that the battalion has been carrying out such activities regularly in its area since its inception. Meanwhile, Fernandes acknowledged the security forces for its assistance.

In yet another programme, the Longding battalion of Assam Rifles conducted a pre-recruitment training at Kanubari and Pongchau on January 9.

The aim of the programme was to shortlist prospective candidates and provide further training for the army, navy, air force and CAPFs recruitment rallies. Apart from the training, the youth were also briefed about various career opportunities in armed forces.

It stated that a total of 214 youth, including 170 male and 44 female, participated in the training programme.
