DIMAPUR —Assam Rifles conducted a security meeting at Shengha Chingnyu village in Mon district on June 29.
According to a press release, the security meeting was held to promote peace and harmony in the region and to foster a sense of security among the local populace. Villagers from five villages participated in the meeting.
At the meeting, issues related to security in the area were discussed, including the sharing of information about any untoward incidents, and coordination on matters of mutual interest between the security forces and the local population.
Assam Rifles informed the gathering about potential security threats in the area and also outlined the efforts of the security forces to maintain peace and harmony.
The attendees were also informed about job opportunities and recruitment in the armed forces, as well as various projects undertaken in the area.
