Assam Rifles distributes books among schoolchildren

DIMAPUR — On the eve of World Book Day, the Assam Rifles organised a stationery and book distribution drive for 90 students of Government Middle School at New Thewati in Phek district.

According to an update, the distribution drive saw participation from both the school authorities and the students.

Also, on April 22, Assam Rifles conducted ‘A day with the company commander’ at COB Zubza, where a total of 134 students, accompanied by six faculty members from Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, participated.

The event aimed to enlighten the students about the various roles of the force and motivate them to consider being part of the organisation.

The event included a pipe band display, a dog show, and a small tour within the COB. It concluded with lunch and the distribution of prizes.
