Assam Rifles conducts various activities in the state

Dimapur, Nov. 7 (EMN): Tuensang Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (North) conducted a free medical camp at Yei village on November 5 with an aim to provide medical support and assistance to the villagers especially the old, handicapped, orphaned people and the women who are unable to go to the hospitals.

According to an update from PRO, HQ IGAR (N), a total of 72 male, 81 female and 77 children benefitted from the camp. A similar programme was conducted on Friday at Monyakshu village, where 63 male, 87 female and 137 children availed medical help.

On the same day, it also inaugurated a renovation and refurbishment of sanitary pad making room at PHC Longpang village of Tuensang district to alleviate the problem of women of Longpang village under the AR civic action programme and handed over to the village authority.

Meanwhile, Wokha Battalion of AR reached out to the inmates of Morning star Children's Home, Wokha on November 5 and distributed blankets, ration, essential commodities and masks.
