DIMAPUR — The Assam Rifles (AR) organised a medical and dental camp as part of the Assam Rifles Civic Action Programme in the villages of Pessao, Yangkhao, and Eang of Mon district.
According to a bulletin, a senior medical officer and a nursing assistant attended to 296 patients, including elderly and children, and during the camp, medicines were given to the patients as well as clothing for the villagers.
Felicitates student
The AR also held a felicitation ceremony on November 20 at Government College, Phek, for a girl student from Phek town who was named the best recruit on passing out parade from the Assam Rifles Training Centre and School, Diphu.
The Assam Rifles SSC entrance exam was held in 2021, and she joined the training centre in December 2022 after passing her physical, medical, and written SSC exams.
According to the AR press release, the student, her parents, and teachers expressed their heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to the Assam Rifles for providing her with much-needed guidance and motivation.
National Integration Tour
The Assam Rifles, under the aegis of IGAR , organised a National Integration Tour (NIT) to Delhi and Amritsar for the villagers of Ruzazho, Phek district, from November 16 to November 27.
The NIT was flagged off from Kohima on November 16, and on November 19, the NIT participants visited Red Fort. The team also visited the Qutub Minar and the Lotus Temple.
