Assam Rifles celebrates Christmas in the Peren district and flags off National Integration Tour for students from Dimapur.

DIMAPUR — Assam Rifles celebrated the festival of Christmas alongside local residents of Peren district and flagged off a National Integration Tour from Dimapur to Pransla, Gujarat.
The Christmas celebrations were organised at the Peren Town Baptist Church and a children’s home in Peren, according to an update.
At the Peren Town Baptist Church, the event witnessed the participation of more than 600 residents, who gathered to celebrate the occasion. Assam Rifles personnel joined the local community in offering Christmas greetings and spreading the message of peace, love, and brotherhood, it said.

In addition, a special programme was organised at a children’s home in the Peren district, where 70 students along with the staff members were present. To make the celebration memorable for the children, Assam Rifles organised various cultural activities, including singing, dance, and choreographed performances.
As part of the celebrations, Assam Rifles also organised a one-time meal for the students at the home.
Meanwhile, Assam Rifles flagged off a National Integration Tour from Dimapur, Nagaland, to Pransla, Gujarat. The tour aims to promote national integration and provide students an opportunity to explore the cultural and historical heritage of India.
The team, comprising 18 students and two teachers, will visit Pransla in Gujarat and Delhi, where they will participate in the Rashtra Katha Shivir—a national gathering that fosters patriotism, cultural awareness, and leadership among youth from across the country.
During the journey, participants will interact with prominent personalities, visit places of national importance, and gain exposure to India’s diversity and unity.
The flag-off ceremony was attended by senior officials of Assam Rifles, who encouraged the students to act as ambassadors of peace, harmony, and unity.
