GUWAHATI — Narcotic substances worth INR 5.8 crore were seized and two suspected drug traffickers were arrested from Assam's Kokrajhar district, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said.
"A fake 'On Duty' sticker could not hide the real intent. At Srirampur Naka, @KokrajharPolice intercepted a vehicle and seized 2.97 kg heroin worth INR 5.8 crore," Sarma said in a post on X on Wednesday night.
During the operation, two suspected drug peddlers were apprehended, he said.
"Good job @assampolice. Our war on drugs continues," the CM added.
