Assam Class 10 science exam cancelled after question paper leak
Diphu, March 13 (EMN): The High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examination General Science (C3) paper was cancelled on Monday, due to question paper leak.
The notification was issued on March 12. The Controller of Examination, Board of Secondary Education (SEBA), N J Sarmah, stated, “News is telecast in a section of media today evening that a handwritten model question paper of HSLC examination of General Science (C3) subject, which is to be held on March 13 2023 (Monday) is available in the hands of some candidates and available in social media platform also.”
He further said, “We have a belief that such news may create confusion in the minds of the candidates and keeping in view of this the examination of the General Science (C3) subject which is to be held on March 13 (2023) is hereby canceled. The exam for General Science (C3 is rescheduled on March 30. “
At Diphu Government Boys Higher Secondary School Examination Centre, students who were unaware of the notification returned home.
One of the candidates speaking to the media said, “I have come with full preparation to write the examination. But due to the re-schedule of the date we could not write the exam. We are desperate as we could not write our exam. Can’t say whether I can make the same preparation,” the student said.
The assistant general secretary, AASU, central committee, Shorjun Hanse said, “We want to tell the Education Minister Ranoj Pegu that the Assam government should not play with the education of students. We want Pegu to resign from the post of Education minister, as he is not capable of controlling his department.”
