Diphu, June 10 (EMN): Condemning the June 8 incident, where two youths from Guwahati were lynched by mob at Panjuri Kachari Gaon, the Autonomous State Demand Committee (ASDC) said the incident was unfortunate and should not have happened.
The ASDC has appealed the people to restore peace and harmony. It also urged the state government to take responsibility to ensure the safety and security of Karbi students studying outside.
Dimapur: The Assamese Community of Dimapur (ACD) has condemned of what it termed as ‘gruesome’ murder of Nilotpal Das and Abhijeet Nath by some anti social elements on June 8 at Karbi Anglong in Assam. A press statement was received on Sunday.
The community in the press release requested all the citizens to witness the incident as a crime against humanity rather than against community or religion.
Further, the ACD has appealed public to restraint from circulating the incident related images in social media or any other platform and help administration to normalise the situation. Also, the community has asked everyone to congratulate the Assam government and police for their prompt action in arresting the culprits.
