DIMAPUR — The ASCEND (Accelerating Startup Calibre and Entrepreneurial Drive) Startup Bootcamp, organised by the Department of Industries and Commerce in collaboration with Startup India, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), was held on January 30 at the Innovation and Incubation Space, Capital Convention Centre, Kohima.

The event brought together a diverse group of aspiring and growth-stage entrepreneurs, industry experts, and government officials, according to an update by DIPR.

The boot camp commenced with opening remarks by commissioner and secretary, Industries and Commerce, Kekhrievor Kevichusa, followed by an address from director, Department of Industries and Commerce, A Temjen Jamir.

Deputy director and team leader of StartUp Nagaland, Keneirienuo T Zatsu, spoke on the occasion about the state policy incentives, and a representative from StartUp India provided an overview of national startup schemes and benefits.

Industry experts, including Thammiah K M, head of corporate finance at Tally Solution Pvt Ltd; CA Rohan Abraham from R Abraham and Associates; and Dr. Vibhuti Aggarwal, general partner at Real Time Angel Fund, conducted in-depth training sessions on accountancy, GST, and essential financial components of a business proposal, respectively.

The networking break offered participants opportunities to connect, share experiences, and build relationships with fellow entrepreneurs and mentors. Further, it mentioned that the one-on-one consultation slots at the Mentorship Desk enabled participants to seek personalised advice and guidance from experts.
