Driver Asa Khazo with co-driver Vimhaseo George today emerged as the first winners of the Great Hornbill Adventure Trail (GHAT) organized as part of the Hornbill Festival by Naga Adventure Club in collaboration with Tourism Department.
GHAT was organized with an aim to promote the tourism sector by taking the 12 participating teams to villages in four districts of the State to taste the interior places.The duo bagged 54 points to be the winners and walk away with cash award of Rs. 1 lakh with citation.
An Australian couple, Vince Radford and Melina who participated in the GHAT sharing their experience remarked Nagaland as the ‘Adventure Capital of India’. They said that Nagaland was beautiful, amazing place full of adventure and it was great experience to be here.
The participants of GHAT would spread the message about the beauty of Nagaland, commented Commissioner & Secretary Tourism Himato Zhimomi.
